2026 is the year Salford City is celebrating it’s 100 year anniversary as a City…

…and Little Hulton and Walkden are celebrating in a big way!

We are coming together to run 100 days of back-to-back, free activity!

Together we will celebrate, share opportunities, learn something new, find out about the history of our town, look into the future, make friends, laugh together, cry together, and every part will be community-led, based on the ideas of local residents.

What have we done so far?

  • A fundraising walk around Peel Park on 19th December, 50 laps in one day! Another 50 will be scheduled later this year. Send me an email on [email protected] if you would like to join!
  • Ideas boxes were left in 15 different community hubs up until January 15th for residents to share their ideas.
  • On January 22nd over 50 community organisers and residents came together at CommUNITY Little Hulton Peel Park Pavilion to create a draft of the 100 days programme. Those who attended also voted on which ideas they felt deserved to get some funding to get off the ground.
  • We have been through the first 25 days, with over 700 people coming!
  • We have now released the next 28 days!
  • A poster for the first 25 days of the 100 days of activity.
